I could have sworn that Carrie did one of these with cranberry chicken, but I'm not seeing it. If it's still on here we can use hers. I may just be blind.

I deleted my post. I decided to not participate in December.

I don't know if I will be able to participate this month with the meal exchange. I'm so far behind that I could use a month off to catch up.

That doesn't mean that we won't have the meal exchange at my house. It is still on. So don't worry about it. For those that still want to participate plan on meeting at my house Tuesday December 7th at 9:30am.

If anyone knows of someone that would like to participate but doesn't have the time to cook, let me know because I would be more than willing to cook the food and do the exchange as long as they paid for the food.

Would you all mind if I made Frozen Strawberry Dessert instead of a Main course? I will not be bothered at all if you say no!

Wait hold on now. If we are up for a dessert exchange I want in!! I can make a decent ice cream cake....or at least I'll pay Bobbi to make one extra for me.

I think there's so many treats floating around during the holidays, I'd rather have the main meal, but I'm okay if i get outvoted too. It sounds yummy.

What if we designate one month as a treat exchange month or choose one month to do treats in addition to the meals?

We love the group and look foward to our meals every month. Thanks everyone for being such good cooks!

I think Bobbi's dessert sounds delicious, but I agree with Nanci about having an abundance of treats around the holidays. In another month I wouldn't mind having one of the meals be a dessert (I don't know about having them all be desserts--that's a lot of treats!).

Thanks for the feedback. I will find a meal. I'm with Nanci We LOVE the meals!

I agree with the rest (even though I'm not participating this month.) However, I think it's a great idea to maybe have a dessert exchange one month. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! :)

Just a thought, but because there are only 6 people participating this month, does everyone want to make 2 dishes (of the same recipe) so that you would have 12 meals instead of 6? Let me know what you think?

I think I'd rather just do the 6 single meals. My family seems to always have a good amount of left-overs and it may be too much with 2 of each meal. I'll talk to Ruthanne and Andrea to see if they want to participate this month (they were two that I remembered wanting a smaller group). Maybe they'd want to try. Again, I'm okay if I get out-voted.

I don't think I would want two of the same meals in one month, but I wouldn't mind doing 2 different meals for 6 people. After making for 12, 6 would be easy! I talked to Andrea yesterday and she said if only 6 people are doing it she may want to this month, but she also said she still has meals left from the very first exchange, so I don't know how interested she is.

I wouldn't mind making 2 different meals. But that might discourage Andrea and Ruthanne. I'm easy.

Ruthanne said she might join in. I told her that the deadline was Monday. I say we wait until Monday and see how many people we actually have, then decide about one or two meals each.

I am also fine with making 2 different meals for December. It has been wonderful to have all these meals ready!! I am in for anything that means I don't have to haul my kids to the store as much.
